LifeBridge Health offers a variety of wellness education classes, lectures and screenings every week. These community events range from breastfeeding support groups to stress reduction and relaxation classes. They are all part of LifeBridge Health?s commitment to making sure that the local community is leading a healthy lifestyle.

9/1/12 -?Heart Health & Lifestyle Screening ? Catonsville -?For men &?women over age 18, includes blood pressure, cholesterol/triglycerides, comprehensive metabolic panel blood profile, body composition analysis, personal lifestyle questionnaire, and brief health education counseling with a registered nurse. Appointment required.
9/4/12 ? Infant/Child CPR for Family and Friends -?Held every other month. Call for dates. Teaches the life saving skills of infant/child CPR and relief of choking. Participation card only. Pre-registration is required two weeks prior to class. (Priority is given to Sinai couples.)
9/5/12 -?Birth Basics 101 ? Labor, Birth & Postpartum -?Refresher course for those who have already given birth. Usually held the first Wednesday of every other month, this class covers the stages of labor, the birth process, care for the new mom and adjustments at home. Pre-registration is required.
9/5/12 -?Sinai Bariatrics Information Session -?Interested in losing weight? Join us for a free information seminar to learn if bariatric surgery is right for you. Hosted by Christina Li, MD, FACS, Division Head of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Sinai Hospital and Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon?or by Cynthia Long, MD, FACS, Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon. These sessions are for new patients in?the Baltimore?area.
9/6/12 -?Diabetes Awareness ? Journey to Control -?The Diabetes and Nutrition Center at Northwest Hospital is sponsoring the Journey for Control Program to teach diabetic patients about diabetes, controlling their blood sugar and healthy eating.

9/13/12 -?Strive to Succeed-Cooking Demonstration -?Infamous blogger Nikki aka Bariatric Foodie will be sharing her Mexican style cooking tips with the Sinai Crew. To supply a dinner portion of the food she cooks, cost will be approximately?$5.00. Inquire with the dietitian to cast your food vote and reserve your seat at the table!
9/13/12 -?Living with Alzheimer?s?for Caregivers -?Join us for eight Thursday sessions and hear from those directly affected by Alzheimer?s disease. Also learn ways to plan and things to do?along the journey.
